Baptism

Can you believe Diego is eight? Doesn't he look so cute in his little kandora? For baptism we wear all white, and since the white jumpsuits are hard to come by in this part of the world, but these are everywhere, it only makes sense! You should see the tiny ones for baby blessings!

Diego was dissappointed that he didn't have any family around for his special day, but our church family here rallied up plenty of support for him :) What a special day, for a boy who will do special things!

Nursery school graduation

Lincoln and I have been spending our year at the British Nursery (preschool) near our house. Next year he will start elementary school, so he had his first school graduation. Here he is with his lovely teacher, Ms Sonja.

Thanks for teaching him so many things, and especially the little pronounciations he has picked up that make his american accent a little harder to identify ;)

Skiing for date night

Some of our friends were going skiing for date night, so we thought it would be fun to join them. It couldnt't be that hard right? So we booked a lesson for 2 hours before the date, and tried our hand at snowboarding. Well... Turns out you really do need to know how to do a spory before you just jump off the ski lift. I spent way more time on the snow than on my feet, but it was tons of fun! Especily with my daring date ;)
When our friends arrived we had to bow out of going down the "big" hill, and instead watched them over a dinner from the restaurant.

Iftar

During the holy month of Ramadan, there's no eating in public intil sundown when the practicing muslims break their fast with an Iftar feast. For one of our date nights, we went with our new friends to our first traditional iftar, and it was so cool! As always, memories are made sweeter with friends :)
